The Scorched Earth Trilogy

Created by Dumbworld in co production with Irish National Opera, The Scorched Earth Trilogy used the power of film and opera to highlight serious global concerns around climate change, the economy and environmental disaster in an entertaining but raw manner. The film trilogy challenged the complacency of audience members and left them empowered to search for answers on the current climate situation.

Sherpa provided full technical production, health and safety, entry and event management for the event.

So how exactly did it all work? After booking their free ticket online, attendees were greeted by members of the Sherpa team upon arrival and given bluetooth headsets for the event.

They were then invited to rotate around the Berkeley Library where three poignant short films were projected onto the library walls using 12k projectors with audio transmitted directly to the bluetooth headsets. Time was given between each screening for attendees to chat together and discuss their thoughts and opinions on the films.

Brian Gormally from Sherpa said β€œIt was lovely to partner up with such a talented team and assist in producing such an amazing show - What a classy way to bring a mad month to a close by producing yet another arts event in another landmark iconic Irish institution and partnering with the some of the most creative people on the island.”
